Consultations and Resume Reviews
I firmly believe that everyone should be able to write their own resume. That with critiques and suggestions, one must be able to put their information on paper in a readable way. Most companies are going to require computer skills so this is a skill one must learn.
We currently respond to requests for help on a case by case basis at no cost. We volunteer our time to assist with reviewing your resume and prepping you for an interview. Due to constraints, we only work with one client at a time and not everyone will be accepted. If you would like to request help, contact us today.
What you will need to do before we assist you:
- Attend the Resume and Application class at WorkSource
- Attend the Job Search Strategies class
- Attend the Interviewing workshop
- Have a basic resume and application put together
- Attend a workshop on Labor Market or identify what your labor market and skill-sets are
- Have a job search only email address and a personalized but professional voicemail
These are the required items for anyone we will assist because it saves a great deal of time and frustration on your part and ours. Once you have done these things email us and let us know what your field is and a brief intro about your background and current goals/circumstances. Again, we only work with one client at a time due to constraints and there is no guarantee that we will have an opening. We accept requests on a case by case basis only at this time.
